As children, we all can recall the many adventures we created with just our imaginations. Anything was possible; you might have jumped from the couch to the chair because the floor was lava, gone running through a field on horse back to escape robbers, slain the mighty dragon, or sat on a cliff fishing for stars. Where ever your thoughts could take you, that is where you could go. The purity and innocence of a child makes their ability to have an adventure in the day to day so natural. Tragically, it seems as we get older most people struggle to hold on to this ability. We get beaten and run down by the harsh realities of life along with being taught that if you think differently from the crowd, your thoughts are wrong. Life becomes a bleak ritual we walk through on auto pilot; not to say that the responsibilities of an adult are things to be disregarded. However, what if we could still maintain our childlike hearts? A child who has yet to be damaged and corrupt by the sin and evil in the world. Doubt and shame are not yet weathering away at a child's soul. What if we could remove the scales from our eyes to see the beauty in everything the way a child does? To have the Faith that God is who he says he is. Jesus even tells us in Matthew 18:3 "And he said: 'Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.'" So go on, be like children. Have Faith in the Lord, and let the creativity and imagination he gave you run wild!
