Don't Give Up

The fight to be able to fly has been a long and drawn out process. This week has been especially trying and still no word from the FAA if I will be aloud to continue flying. I find myself caught in these ruts, wondering what am I even doing? Is this all going to be for nothing? I have fallen so far behind with flying and my training has been so spread out that my current advanced classes feel almost impossible. So what is the point?

When you love something, you fight for it! Do not turn in the towel until you have exhausted all options and resources. If you give up, you may always wonder what could have been. But if you have given your all and still things don't work the way you had hoped, it will be heart breaking, but you will be able to hold your head high knowing you did everything you could. What if after all the blood sweat and tears, you finally reach your goal? You will be able to look back on all of the challenges in relief and joy that you made it, and you persevered! Anything worth having comes at a cost.

When you feel like giving up, or when you are terrified of the future, remember this: "Then Jesus said to his disciples, 'Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens; They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?'" -Luke 12:22-25
